Virtual Instructor-Led
Training
Virtual Instructor-Led Training (VILT)is all
about learning taking place in a new environment
– The Internet!
We at the Avena Training Academy are using
this powerful concept to integrate technology
and content to create and deliver flexible
and user friendly courses to a wider audience.
How does VILT work?
A VILT session is conducted over the internet
by a live skilled instructor using a Web Communication
System. This system will allow you to interact
with your live instructor and other students,
on a scheduled date and time. All this happens
in a classroom over the Internet; hence called
a Virtual Classroom.
The Web Communication System will allow
the instructor to share his computer screen
and deliver the training. The instructor can
monitor the student’s progress by looking
the student’s computer screen. The student
can also view the instructor’s screen
and interact with the trainer during the course
of the training.
So what are the benefits of VILT?
- With Avena Training Academy’s VILT,
you enjoy all of the benefits of live
interaction that you would enjoy
in a traditional ILT, without the need for
expensive travel. Our custom VILT is ideal
for interactive training or meetings, in
which the presenter wants to retain the
human element of interaction, yet utilize
the flexibility of a secure IT infrastructure.
- Increased flexibility:
You can choose a course suited to your requirement
from anywhere, at a time convenient to you;
without having to leave your office or home.
| Duration
of courses will vary depending upon
whether it is a Standard VILT or a
FastLearning
course. |
 |
- Graphical content and High Interactivity:
Our skilled trainers will guide you through
the hands-on activities, thus increasing
retention. We also support a variety of
multi-media formats that engage learner’s
communication features like chat, question/answer
managers, and online evaluation features
like online survey and polling.
- Course details and Learning Material:
All information about the course you have
enrolled for and the Learning Material for
the course will be sent to your email address.
- Our Value: Our experienced
and skilled instructors will be available
to answer your course related queries and
help you map out future sessions to master
specific applications.
- Use and Reuse: The user
friendly Web Communication System we use
allows you to record the training event
for later viewing.
What are the requirements to participate in
a VILT?
To put it simply, a computer and an internet
connection. However here is a list of the

information in such a scenario. Avena's Virtual

results you need to positively impact job
performance. Whether your need is custom training
or off-the-shelf training, VILT is one of
the most effective online training resources

concept to provide the best education and
training available.
"Thanks for the training yesterday. It is the first time that I can put in practice everything I've learned yesterday. It was really great. I have told my collegues that they should attend this training too. Do you know when is the next intermediate or advanced session?"

"Thanks again for the class yesterday. You did a great job. I shared my experience with my co-workers:
The course:
- The trainer started with introductions to make us comfortable I could tell that she's used to teaching virtually.
- She switched between a PPT and MS Project. The PPT listed objectives, showed process flows, defined terms, summarized, and included references and next steps.
- I received a survey afterwards via email.
- The purpose of the class was to teach us how to use Project to organize tasks and sub-tasks, set durations, link tasks, set dependencies. It's part of a continuum of MS Project courses.
- The teacher demo'd a task first, and then asked the other student and me to try it using the practice files.
- The pace was very fast - it didn't allow any time to be tempted to do anything else like IM or read mail:)
- the exercises were very practical, succinct, and relevant.
- The trainer asked lots of questions to make sure we were able to complete the exercises and that we came up with the right 'answers'
- with only 2 students, the course moved along pretty well. The trainer encouraged asking questions and was prepared with good answers."
